FESTIVALS. EXHIBITIONS. CONCERTS …

As always at the beginning of the new year at the diplomatic mission of Hungary held a press conference at which were announced cultural programs and activities planned for implementation with the support and organization of the Hungarian Embassy in Kiev.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to Ukraine Dr. Erno Keshken his opening speech stressed:

– In my country highly valued and piously preserved ancient traditions of respect and the development of spiritual culture, in an effort to share this wealth with other nations. Proof of this are already become traditional, and our cultural programs in Ukraine.

It is significant that with each passing year, these programs are becoming wider, more diverse, with a growing number of both performers and the audience, which is especially important. After all this and designed a plan of cultural events in the first half of 2017-th.

They started the exhibition “Hungary in the Soviet camps 1944-1956,” first in the embassy hall, where a memorial was held a conference with the participation of Professor Sándor Sokaya, and then in the museum “Chocolate house”.

Roles and forms of cultural diplomacy, active participation in the younger generation it will be dedicated to the forum with the participation of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Hungary to the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine, which will take place on opening day ” Hungary eyes Ukrainian photographers”.

Ukrainian viewers will be able to hear the trio Andras Dash at the XVI Jazz Festival “Yednist” in Kiev, as well as guitar virtuoso Ferenc Bernat at the Kiev International festival of guitar music. Peculiar events will be attended by Daniel Deak in the VI Kiev International Short Film Festival, the international festival “Carpathian expanses” in Ivano-Frankivsk, participate in a book festival in the Art Arsenal. And also – a gala concert with the participation of soloists from the Hungarian National operetta evening devoted to the work of the Hungarian composer Zoltán Kodály at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine.

The press conference was attended by the general director of the Kyiv National Museum of Russian Art Yuri Vakulenko,

Rector of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine Vladimir Rozhok, general producer of the international jazz festival “Yednist” Sergey Grabar, director of “GITAS” competition-festival Konstantin Chechenia, program coordinator of the Kyiv International Short Film Festival Alika Kharchenko.
