International jazz festival “Yednist” (Unity) was founded in 2002 with the support of Kyiv City Council and the Kyiv chief management of culture, art and cultural heritage.

The founder and President of the festival is Sergiy Grabar. The main organizer of the festival is music agency “Theater of Jazz”.

“Yednist” is a festival of different jazz, and one of festival’s traditions is jazz by children.

Summary №1: Festival is stable. It always takes place in the same time. In March, on the verge of the second and third decades. Always in Operetta Theater. During this time the theater became academic and National. Only once (it was the second festival) “Yednist” was held in the House of officers.
